The project of the water environment patrol team is to assist the organization to go deeper and have multiple directions and to actively combine with environmental education. On the aspect of the system, it keeps expanding and maintaining “Water Environment Protection Website” as a premium platform of the combination of business, information, and promotion. On the operation of the patrol team’s organization, the evaluation of Environmental Protection Bureaus (EPBs) in cities and counties and the selection of premium water environmental patrol teams are conducted. In addition, 2 yearly kick-off conferences are organized, interacting and communicating with EPBs for what will be developed this year. Moreover, 2 operating guidance conferences are organized which exhibiting cities and counties conduction results, whereby they can learn from each others. The degree of involvement reaches 95% in cities and counties. On the promotion part, 2 water environment education and protection symposiums are organized, combining with affairs of environmental education and water environment patrol. Additionally, for providing the public with the chance to express their thoughts on river environment, 4 private symposiums for river environment are organized near Yanshui River (鹽水溪) and Erren River(二仁溪), whereby the public can participate in and monitor the achievement of river environment protection. In addition, four issues of Water Environment Patrol Quarterly are published, whose quantity of mailing has 27% increase and the reviewer’s satisfaction degree reaches 95 points. Moreover, social website promotion is firstly applied to establish “Water Environment Patrol Fan Club,” which has 600 fans, effectively promoting the ideas. What’s more, to make the central government handle the information of water environment education, Site Background Database has gradually established and 21 pieces of information have been compiled. Additionally, for the sites in liaison with patrol teams in the future, the tasks of site cures and staff training are conducted to gradually enhance the connection between sites and patrol teams. On the aspect of site cures, the average score is 74 points; on the aspect of training, 3 river ecological environmental classrooms are set, training 123 seed tutors. Finally, function development and database maintenance have been conducted on Ecolife website. To simplify the reporting process for patrol teams, the mobile APP has been developed to conduct the pollution real-time reporting, whereby the downloaded quantity is risen by 4.5 times, reporting quantity is risen by 17 times, and the reporting ratio is 18% enhanced. Additionally, for business requirements, 4 functions are developed and 3 procedures are revised. For management units, the performance inquiry, operation management, and service hour inquiry are developed, while for normal users, quarterly issues are added, providing users to search and subscribe.
